Friends Life Care recruits Gail Tomarchio, an expert in wellness education and healthy aging. The company hopes to emphasize that wellness is a key component in long term care protection for aging baby boomers and seniors.

The unique Friends Life Care long term care protection plan includes a proactive and proprietary vital aging support program called VigR, which is designed to educate participants about ways to positively impact their aging process. In her new role, Gail Tomarchio will manage a team of Wellness Coordinators and lead the implementation of programs to help encourage members of Friends Life Care to integrate healthy habits into their daily lives. Through a combination of assessments, education, coaching and life planning services developed and introduced by Tomarchio and other Friends Life Care staff, Friends Life Care members will gain a better understanding of their own habits relative to healthy aging. The member community will be given the information, tools and support to make positive and measurable life changes.

Tomarchio?s lifelong interest in maximizing human potential drew her to the counseling and coaching fields. Through her past work as the Director of Operations and Training for the Habit Change Company, Tomarchio became well versed in the necessary components for expanding the wellness of one?s mind, body, and spirit. Tomarchio?s work has revolved around health and wellness coaching, and she has worked with both individuals and groups toward this end. She is passionate about positively impacting the lives of others, and has received feedback that her warm, nonjudgmental nature allows her clients to explore, and achieve, their goals in a safe environment. Through the process of allowing her clients to become consciously aware of the choices that they are making each day, Tomarchio supports them in the steps that will help move them toward the achievement of their goals. This expertise can directly benefit the Friends Life Care members.

Gail Tomarchio, MA, LPC, NCC, earned a Masters in Counseling/Psychology from Immaculata University, and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania and a National Certified Counselor. She received foundation coach training from MentorCoach and is a graduate of the International Coach Academy, an International Coaching Federation accredited coaching school. Gail has written articles for wellness newsletters, as well as an article on the positive role of mindfulness in the workplace that was published in CDHC Solutions, a magazine for employers, benefit brokers and health plans. She has also been quoted in The Times of London. Gail hosted a radio show on B-101 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing on a range of health and wellness issues. Additionally, she is a Certified Yoga Instructor and has implemented yoga programs for students in Philadelphia.
